Since our foundation in 2001 by Chris Trevor, we've grown into sizeable firm, united by a common goal: to deliver justice with unwavering loyalty, dedication and thoroughness. Our reputation is built on the shoulders of our founder, Chris Trevor, whose advocacy for justice and deep community ties have earned him widespread respect across regional Queensland.

 

With over two decades of practising law, Chris brings a wealth of expertise and experience to our firm, having held esteemed roles such as a Senior Counsellor at the Queensland Law Society, where he advises on professional and ethical matters. His leadership extends to significant public service as a councillor and even as a federal member of parliament, enriching our practice with a profound understanding of both the legal landscape and the local community's needs. Each member of our team–including Margaret Esdale and Monica Erridge, among others–upholds this ethos of tireless dedication.

Meet Our Team


Chris Trevor

Chris Trevor ('CT'): Founder & Special Advisor

Chris, more affectionately known as CT, founded Chris Trevor & Associates in 2001.


CT has lived in Gladstone for over 60 years. He commenced practising law in 1985 serving Gladstone and the surrounding community. CT’s leadership qualities, legal expertise and experience are recognised by the Queensland Law Society (“QLS”) with his appointment as a QLS Senior Counsellor. In this role CT provides guidance to solicitors and lawyers in Queensland with professional and ethical issues.


He was elected as a Gladstone City Councillor in 2004 and in 2007 became the first ever Federal Member of Parliament for the Federal seat of Flynn. Subsequently he has served as a Gladstone Regional Councillor in the position of Deputy Mayor and more recently as a Gladstone Regional Councillor. CT retired from the public life in 2024.


CT is a member of the Queensland Law Society, Gladstone Law Association, Central Queensland Law Association, a Life Member of the Endeavour Foundation and a Life Member of the Past Brothers Senior Rugby League Football Club. He is also a board member of the Gladstone & District Sports Foundation Trust. CT is also the honorary lawyer for many sporting and charitable groups throughout the Gladstone region.

Margaret Esdale

Margaret Esdale: Partner

Margaret is a Central Queensland local. She relocated to Brisbane to complete her university studies and upon completion relocated to work in Mackay where she worked as an articled clerk then solicitor. Margaret has over 20 years’ experience as a practising Solicitor. Margaret joined Chris Trevor and Associates in 2004.

 

Margaret practises predominantly in the area of personal injury law. Margaret is recognised by her Queensland peers as a recommended lawyer for personal injury, motor vehicle accident and workers’ compensation law. Margaret is a courageous solicitor who works tirelessly in support of her client’s claims. Her courage is reflected by her success in being the first Queensland solicitor to successfully test the new legislation for people injured in motor vehicle accidents. 

 

Margaret enjoys getting to know her clients and learning their stories. She applies her extensive knowledge and experience to achieve the best possible result for her clients. Clients regularly comment on her compassion and caring approach.

 

Margaret is a member of the Queensland Law Society and Gladstone Law Association. She is also a board member of the Zonta Club of Gladstone.

Monica Erridge: Senior Associate

Monica commenced employment at Chris Trevor & Associates in 2021 as a Senior Associate and brings with her decades of experience in the legal industry. Monica holds a Bachelor of Laws from QUT and an Associate Degree of Law and Bachelor of Legal and Justice Studies from Southern Cross University. Monica is admitted in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.


Monica commenced employment in a firm on the Gold Coast where she spent 9 years, subsequently completing her Articles of Clerkship and practising in the areas of Commercial Law and Wills and Estates.



In 2007 Monica relocated to Gladstone where, commencing in 2008, she practised predominantly in Family Law for well over a decade prior to commencing employment with Chris Trevor & Associates and being the head of our Wills and Estates Division.


Monica is an approachable and friendly person who enjoys client interaction and assisting clients with their various requirements in times of need.

Monica is married with two children (one at St John the Baptist Primary school and one at Chanel College) and with the support of her family, continues to juggle the roles of parenting and her career.

Monica Erridge
Cassidy Kennedy

Cassidy Kennedy: Senior Associate

Cassidy grew up in a coal mining town 2 hours west of Mackay. She moved to Gladstone to complete her secondary schooling at Chanel College. Cassidy then relocated to Mackay, where she studied a Bachelor of Laws. She began working in personal injury law as a paralegal in 2018 and was admitted as a lawyer in 2020.


Cassidy first worked for Chris Trevor & Associates for a short period in 2022 and returned permanently in 2023. Cassidy practises personal injury law in Gladstone and Bundaberg.


Cassidy has experience with claims for coal mining accidents and deaths, coal dust lung diseases and other lung diseases (such as asbestosis and mesothelioma), industry/ workplace accidents, medical negligence and public liability matters. She also has experience with claims for insurance through superannuation funds (income protection and total and permanent disablement claims).


Cassidy is passionate about personal injury law and enjoys advocating for her client’s needs and requirements, as well as assisting them through the challenges of the claim and litigation process.


Cassidy is a member of the Queensland Law Society and Gladstone Law Association. She is also a board member of the Zonta Club of Gladstone.

Ryan Crosisca: Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Ryan completed his secondary schooling at Gladstone State High School in 2018. He began studying a Bachelor of Laws through Central Queensland University in 2019. Ryan expects to complete his degree at the end of 2024 and intends to complete a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice before applying to be admitted as a lawyer.



Ryan began working for Chris Trevor & Associates in 2020 and is a valued member of the personal injury law team.
